Wow! It looks great even if it doesn't quite fit right. What a clever idea to use the parts from an old bra for the straps.

The bra looks great on the dress form. I have one question ( I have this pattern too :) ), Did you use stretch fabric or a woven? I did not use this pattern because I was told, that I couldn't use it with a knit and that knits are easier to fit :) I'm making Elan 530 at the moment...

I used a woven as the pattern says, hence why I didn't like the fit.

You did a great job on this Lou. Looks very professional. Get it tweaked and you're in business.

I have used about 3 different Bra Patterns {not this one] and have found that I have needed to trim the top of the Bra back on all. I check this before applying the top elastic. I have also found that there is sometimes different widths between the hooks so it pays to check.

Congratulations on your first hand sewn bra. I still havent tried mine :( I also like padded bras. Did you try to press the wrinkles out on a ham? That might help.

Very nice, especially for a first time. I've stayed away from bras thinking they would be difficult. I may try one now.

Deepika, the wrinkles are due to no breast filling the cup, rather then the fabric :-) if you see what I mean. Thanks for the comments!

Very professional workmanship, Lou. Bra making is fun! I understand how you feel about your bra though. I love looking at the ones I've made, but I have never worn them. How would you say this bra looks under clothing? Does is give a nice round shape? I have looked at this pattern and considered it.

Cindyann, I think if the fit was better it may be smooth under a tight T, but the wrinkles I get (because I don't fill it) would only be good under a sweater.
