Pattern Description:
Version A top with gathered neckline. collar has back tie extensions, cut away armhole Pattern Sizing:
Size 14 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, however as per one of the other reviewers, I would take special note of the collar placement markings as these are VERY important & not to be glossed over. The first top I made like this I glossed over the instructions & regretted it at the end as I had gapping on the armhole area...not cool. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the simplicity of this pattern. Fabric Used:
bright limey green satin Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I have made a few variations of this pattern & used the bodice as a basic for all sorts of ideas on the collar. One version which I particularly love I turned the collar tie to the side so the extentions fall over the shoulder - very pretty. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
yes, & i keep sewing this top.my husband must be so sick of me wearing the same pattern. I guard this pattern with my life!
Of course I would recommend this pattern to anyone. really great for beginners. Conclusion:
Purchase this & give it a go. Its really comfortable. Can be worn as a casual top or an evening top just by changing the fabric used.

LOVE your invisible zipper (truly invisible!) and love how the zipper tab matches in coloring almost perfectly, I'm jealous!
Such a beautiful looking top, and the color is fab too.
I'm the same and believe that your choice of fabric really can make or break a garment. 6/14/10 3:17 PM
