| Version 2:
I recycled the lining of my first coat to make this one.

Version 1: Pattern Description:
Lined raincoat with patch pockets, adjustable hoodie, elastics at the sleeves, zipper and velcro strips in front.
Pattern Sizing:
98-128. I made a size 116.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
It does, except that since I (purposedly) made it too big, it's much longer than on the picture. Front Front-on back Hood-inside Lining Lining-not bagged, hangs free Hood-detail
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions are really nice. I don't know of any other magazine than Ottobre that'd not only gives instructions but actual tips and tricks like pressing with baking paper in between if you don't have a Teflon iron. And then they also tell you how to seal to seam so that you child will actually stay dry under the rain. The instructions get an A.
There's a place where they tell you to gather the bottom of the pockets. Ignore that, these are regular patch pockets.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked the challenge of sewing with oilcloth. And I liked that this pattern has all the features and details you'll find on a regular raincoat: windscreen strip, adjustable hood, hanging loop. And with the velcro strips in front you can tell it was designed to look good AND keep your kid warm and dry. What's a mom to ask more?
Fabric Used:
Coated cotton for the shell and polka dot cotton for the lining
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None whatsoever.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would sew this again and I recommend it.
Conclusion:
Not an easy project as seam ripping was contraindicated and pressing was delicate too. If that's intimidating, I think this pattern would make beautiful coats in fabrics other than oilcloth too, as Ottobre states.

The cinch-able hood is key. Hoods always fall off me and my kids! I need to remember this review.
