Jackie M said... gabrielle, don't be discourage by my review -- you may have fewer problems than I did. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about the off grain pant piece as that's really the only way to cut it out. I may be trying these again in a more forgiving fabric; the more I think about them, the more I'm determined to conquer these pants! 5/7/04 11:42 PM

Would it maybe work better to put the side or center of the pant leg on the grain, and let the folded part be off grain, where it wouldn't show so much and maybe not pull funny? I like wrapped things and am too busty IMO for wrap tops, so this is an idea! 5/8/04 0:01 AM

If it doesn't work out, I'll just practice standing on one leg like the model. People will be so busy wondering what I'm up to that they won't notice my pants don't fit :) 5/8/04 0:02 AM

JDpenelope said... Wow! I thought Burda's patterns were a "cut above," but you rooted out lots of flaws, at least for your figure and preferences. Excellent, informative review. I also understand your wanting to conquer the obstacles, esp after your investment of time to make it work. 5/8/04 10:06 AM
