I agree about the style of this dress. It doesn't provide any shape. I see that lots of PR reviews are for the tunic version, which is a little better. It can be useful to sketch pattern pictures on your body shape to see how they might look - if you search "croquis" on the forums here you will find out more. Sometimes you just have to bail out! Good luck with the next project!

I do love the fabric and I have now sewn the top 4 times (the first 2 did not work). I really want to understand what all the "feel the love" stuff is with regards to this pattern. I keep missing the boat on it although I guess I'm okay (just okay) with the top). Your review has convinced me not to try the dress because others have mentioned the problem with the too-small, too-high neckline and I don't think I have the skills yet to modify that. So I'll just move on! Thanks.
