I really like the style of this dress, it looks really good on you. And, you know that since you are the creator (seamstress), you can put that back on the fold (remember to remove the SA) and add the darts for shaping like you said. Also, if you are using a knit stitch or stretch stitch, you normally do not need to double stitch the seams. Always do a test seam on the scrap piece and see if it holds under stretching...if stretching pops the seam then double the stitching. Hope this helps on your next version!
