I love the fabric choice, it looks really pretty in this pattern. But yeah, I agree. Slippery fabrics are a pain. :)

It looks great, Andrea. Great looking fabric. Agree 100% about slippery fabric. Sometimes it causes you to be very creative to avoid doing what "they" want you to do - lol. I very recently did the rolled edge to avoid what I knew would be failure - lol.

This turned out great! What a neat nightgown. I think the fit is perfect. From the photo, I can't tell that it needs to be any wider. It skims your body nicely. The hem looks fine as a serge rolled hem, but I know you probably want to try a hand rolled hem for the silk cami. You really ought to make the matching panties because this gown is really beautiful. Such unique fabric, too! Hurray for success on such slippery stuff.
