It is not too plain sans buttons, this way you can wear any brooch you want with it. The neckline is super-fabulous! You could take some of the flounce out by making those pleats and tacking or just pressing the together, if it really bothers you that much. I personally think its fabulous! Nice lining too.

Cute jacket! And I always love when someone adds a bold lining to a mono-tone jacket. I think you could still get away with wearing this with lots of colours. I mean, the jacket is normally closed, eh? It looks great with purple! :)
