I just made a KS pattern with a winged collar like this. I wonder if the NL drafting was a bit "off". It shouldn't stand up as you describe. I can't really see what you mean because the photo is coming up in a very teeny-tiny window.

Many who sewed this dislike the high collar, but in their photos it looks both nice and quite distinctive--something to set this simple little blouse apart! Another unusual option was done by kbenco in her version a couple of years ago: She cut it on the bias, using a pintucked fabric, and the result is stunning, though she also disliked that collar (which I think looks terrific).

I made this pattern countless times and love it. I don't remember the collar standing high but will take note next time I wear it, I may have done a review on it come to think of it. Love your fabric
