I made the 20 but cut it down a size and a half for a closer fit and because of the thinnest of my fabric.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Very much so.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
A little detailed but great to follow for a designer dress.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the silhouette of the dress and the drape at the neck which goes into straps. Fabric Used:
I used a black stretch matte jersey. It might have turned out perfect with just a plain matte jersey which is just a bit heavier.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Since my fabric is so thin I removed the zipper since it would not lay correctly. I also raised the back a little by 2 inches. It was a little low for my liking.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I love this dress but I only need one of this design.
I read Laurasews review and chose to use a lighter fabric even though hers turned out fine with the wool jersey. I would have chosen the wool jersey but was terrified of skin irritation. Her dress turned out beautifully and I had the pattern and she convinced me to make it. This is one of a series for my birthday present to me. 8/2010
