I wear mine as a top too, which is why I made it so that you don't have to wear anything under it. It still bugs me though when my clothes are ugly on the inside =)

I like your longer-zipper modification! I made this top, also, but really didn't think of it as a jacket - rather just as a top (which requires an undergarment). So the lack of lining never bothered me as I never expected to unzip it until I took it off for the day!
