I'll try to get a picture when I get back from P'town. A curious thing happened just as I was leaving to go to the hotel this evening. A dressmaker/designer with tres expensive and very well made stuff was REALLY nasty to me. I guess he did not want me in his shop, but asked about my skirt when a friend of his (older woman) commented on how much she liked the skirt. I said it was an altered Issey from 25 years ago. I stepped in and saw some beautiful clothing, exquisitely made pants on a sale rack. When I started to say, 'These are a absolutely beautiful, but I have a problem...' He interrupted me and said, 'I don't want to hear your problems.' So I couldn't tell him about the obvious fact that I am really tall. He scared me quiet. Most interesting, I saw an obvious smaller copy of the coat from 1476, made out a wool knit, reduced to $180. I was trying to chat him up, asked him how long he had been doing this (his reply, '31 years, too long.' I even told him the shape of the skirt pattern and how I altered it, and all he did is snipe and snark, and say, 'what can you do for me?' And 'we can discuss the care of something if you buy it.' I was trying to be friendly. I was seriously tempted by a couple of his things, but I finally grabbed my big straw carry-all, (which he had asked me to put down while I looked through the rack), and said, "I am leaving, you obviously do not want me here.'' The screen door was latched on the inside, no one could have entered without his permission. I never felt so unwelcome in my whole life!

I am looking forward to seeing you in your skirt--it sounds exciting.
