LindaS. said... Skymom, thanks for the review. I had just decided to sew this one 2 days ago so I was happy to see your comments, especially about the bustline. Have you read the article in the new Threads about alterations for a smaller bustline? I'm going to try it on my next garment. Also, my measurements are just a tad under a size 14, so I may try a 10 in this style according to what you have said. AnneM, since I'm new and somewhat out of it (I guess), could you please tell me, what is IBTT? 6/1/04 2:50 PM
Skymom said... Linda, I did read that Threads article. Not really necessary for this garment, though. And while I sort of warned large-busted women off, I think it might really depend on the fabric you choose. For me, the twist is pretty much all fabric, and I'm not sure I'd want a big swath of fabric draped across my chest if I were a lot more shapely than I am. On the other hand (someone out there, have a go and let us know!), the twist area might well provide bust ease and some overall length in the front. I'll have to don one of my molded-cup bras (my daughter calls them "the bumps") and see what the effect is. 6/1/04 2:57 PM
