What a lovely outfit! The coordinating lining on your coat really makes it a "set."

Beautiful coat and dress. These vintage patterns really suit you. I think the lack of lining is true to the period. I remember my mom telling me that few garments were lined in the 'thirties except for outerwear. Everyone wore slips under their dresses, so linings weren't considered necessary. This coat/dress combination would have been worn in warmer weather when lining would have added extra weight. No air conditioning in those days!
