I bought the linen at Waechter's in Asheville, NC about 4-5 yrs ago. It had become a "favorite fabric"---the kind you could make almost anything out of and be happy with, yet you can't quite cut into it. I'm currently trying to break myself of this bad habit. Maybe the key is to find another unassuming pattern like Butterick 3024.

That's a real cute little jacket, Nancy. I bet you will be able to use it for a very long time. Did you get your linen from an online fabric source? Inquiring minds like to know! :)

I like the lines of this jacket. In fact, the other pieces included in this pattern look very wearable. Thanks for calling it to our attention.
