What a handsome bag! Thanks for the tips with Timtex, inserting more pockets and strap width. (I, too, traveled this past weekend with a patent bag of the same size as yours--perfect carry on).

I have had this pattern for about 3 years and haven't mustered up the nerve to make it .. I just got it out to make up in a heavy tapestry fabric .. hope it turns out as well as yours! I love your choice of fabric and I too thought all the straps were a bit narrow and not enough pockets on the inside.
