I like the idea of re-using. I used to make clothing for my children out of adult sized cast offs. The fabric is already washed and soft and it's fun to incorporate some of the existing details. Cute blouse! You know you will now be challenged to do more.

Your shirt is really lovely, and your method of working with the original shirt is fascinating. I also love the idea of re-using and re-fashioning. . I'm currently making two tops from skirts I made from Liberty print cottons about 20 years ago - the fabrics are in great condition.
