Lovely halter dress! I love sewing with cotton batiks, and this is a great pattern for them. As for your skirt length voting: SHORT is best, then ankle length. I think the "tea length" contributes to the frump factor. ( I also have major varicose veins so understand your concern! )

You look wonderful in anything but go for short! You can rock it and believe me, when you are my age you wish you had worn more short stuff. Tea length....I make this myself sometimes but I do worry about frump. All that said, this is a dynamite dress.
