I made KS 2694 out of it and made a long skirt in a perfect shade of turquoise to match. I will be posting it for my first review as soon as I get a picture of it. Love the panties, too! I just may have to make some. Thanks for the review. 6/17/04 9:03 PM

And God bless you for your wonderful instructions on how to do a FBA on a top like this :) I have been wanting this pattern but was afraid I could never figure out the adjustments~you described it perfectly, and now I think I might be able to pull it off :o) I will have to get some of that fabric, too. Thanks for an awesome review!

Debbie Cook said... Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. I am NOT an alterations whiz (yet!!), so if I can do this, be assured that you can too! For me, the "trick" was using sewable tracing paper and putting the pieces together to create a "regular" shaped top and then doing the alterations. Looking at the pattern pieces alone was overwhelming to my non-whiz brain. Gigi, it was your review and comments that made the alterations all come together in my head, and reading about Deepika's unfortunate results told me what to look out for. So, even bad results are helpful! Oh, one more thing ... the fabric has 4-way stretch which I'm sure was helpful and the trim is also elastic, which I sewed on taut to avoid any potential gaping. 6/18/04 12:59 PM
