From the photos, you can't tell that the fabric is "cheap," but I was immediately drawn to that lovely pink. The back is utterly gorgeous. I agree that the front looks better untied. I've always thought this pattern to be schizophrenic wrt the beautiful back with the blah (at best) front. Didn't think I'd like the hood, but I love yours. Great job!
