Pattern Description: very easy vogue, pullover top and dress with sash
Pattern Sizing:14,16,18,20.I made this in my actual size, and it fit.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? exactly
Were the instructions easy to follow? very easy
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? what I dont like is that since I gained weight and have a tummy now,the sash wants to ride up under my bust, with any move I make.I like how fast I can make it,and I like how on days when I feel extra fat I can wear it without the sash and it still looks good.I like the slight curve of the shoulder part, and the V shape under the arm.I like the poufy, blousyness of it.
Fabric Used:
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: well instead of cutting the back in two,I cut in on the fold, since there wasnt a curve along the back piece. The neck and the sleeve were all one facing piece,I didnt want to mess it with that,so I made my own neck facing,by cutting off the sleeve ends.I sewed the facing on the neckline, and hand hemmed the sleeves.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes,I love how fast this can be made,I sewed another one for my sister as a gift, that was blue and white hawaian print, with a white sash it was beautiful. Then I made myself a pink shiny satin one,and it didn't look good so I added darts to the front.

Really pretty!

It looks great on you. Could you just tack the belt down a little on either side to prevent the slippage? It's probably due more to the nature of the fabric than your shape. You aren't exactly rotund.

Thanx y'all! Barb,I'm sure your right about the satin fabric being the culprit,I forgot to right in the review that the sash needs to be a few inches longer,I have to tie it tightly,to get the nice 'bow' shape,it probably wouldn't ride up if I could tie it looser.
