Harriet Rogers said... Great to see you back! I've missed your reviews and was hoping you'd reappear soon. The dress looks great on you: thanks for the "plug". Here's a little question for you and anyone else who reads this. Have you had any experience with Miyake Pattern 1783 from 1996? It looks like a long white shirtdress: long sleeves, cuffs, rounded neck-line. I bought it on ebay, and was dying to make it until I read the instructions. Turns out the back of the dress somehow turns into a drape because it's turned into the waistband. It could be great looking, but I'd like to hear from someone who made it before I
"go there", as the youngsters today say.
Thanks. 6/25/04 8:20 AM

Harriet Rogers said... Be and my guest, and go first! I read instructions again over weekend, and can't for the life of me, figure out why the back of dress has to be turned up: why would one want the extra fabric? But..it is interesting, and I hope you get to it before I do. I have a fabric I want to use for it, but think I'll sit tight on this particular project for awhile. 6/28/04 9:43 AM
