Definitely see why you got compliments! It's very flattering and looks enjoyable to wear. If you don't like the safety pin, I generally sew a snap at the CF neckline--invisible from the outside and secures against wardrobe malfunctions.

Very nice! I just finished making a dress in this pattern with mixed results. (Review to follow when I wear it and get a picture.) Could you describe in more detail how you did the bias facing? I don't like how the facings will not lay correctly on mine and I'm thinking a solution like yours may be the trick. Also what dart/bust adjustment did you make? I love your fabric choice and the fit is perfect. Nicely done.
