Tanya, It's difficult to believe, from what I can see, that theirs looks better! Thank goodness the trashcan wasn't the final resting place for your work. I really like this design. I'm also not brave enough, like Alicia, to try a large applique project like this. (My smaller ones are weak enough.) I don't know if two, or even three, layers of Sulky would have worked better, but like you say....it's on the back!

thank you for writing such an honest, straight-forward review of your project. I admire your persistence and I think you colors are lovely while I do agree with you that the binding would be better off in a different color. Applique is one of my favorite things to do so trust me, you will get better at it as you go.
