I made the PJ pants from this pattern too, but substituted an elastic waistband for the drawstring. I simply inserted 3/4" elastic in place of the drawstring and omitted the opening at CF for the drawstring to be pulled through. Pockets are also easy to add. Just use another pattern as an example. You seem to like the overall fit of the pattern so stay with this one instead of searching for a new one. The great thing about sewing is that you can make it the way YOU want it to be.

Cute pants. I agree - pockets even in pajamas are a must. In seam pockets are easy to add. Cute fabric too - from Ikea? I need to check that place out!
