I really like this pattern and have made view C in an orange sueded knit and it fit appropriately...probably like you indicated, your fabric didn't have enough "snap".

I'm glad you got the pj top you wanted. Still, it isn't a resoundingly positive review, so I appreciate your honesty. Like you, I have sewn pj tops from regular top patterns -- being sure to build in plenty of ease by choosing a larger size.
