I have the same centerback problem-the last pants I made, I ended up taking about 4&1/2"out of the back waistband. I like your jeans, they look really good. I agree, maybe the pockets could be a little smaller. Thanks for the review, I had been wondering about this pattern . I need to make my Kwik Sew jeans pattern first though :D 7/30/04 3:29 PM

I find that smaller pockets just make my butt look bigger in comparison! Sometimes, eliminating the pockets altogether is a better look. 7/30/04 3:46 PM
Lorna C. Newman said... Hilary, what I do is keep a notebook next to my sewing table. Whenever I finish a session on a garment, I spend a few minutes makein gnotes of whatever I had to do or wherever i had problems that I could not fix at that moment. Then I brainstorm through them and go back the next day or so. Then I sit down and type once the garment is all done and I have all the details in front of me in point form! 7/30/04 3:50 PM

Your suspicions are right - stretch fabric really accentuates any extra ease you have. I think they look good and this is a well-drafted pattern for derriere-endowed people. Great review! 7/30/04 7:09 PM

Have to try these too, but i'm so happy, that I fitted my other Jalie pattern, so that I might just stick to my "old" one and lower it in the waist-area 8/2/04 1:10 AM
