I totally agree with Pippi. I've just finished this little top and it is entirely too wide in the bodice and the yoke and arm binding pieces are too short. Your inexperience is not the problem. I've been sewing for 45 years and I had trouble with it also. Yours is very sweet.

Love what you did to "save" this dress. Your version is adorable. Don't blame you for wanting to save that cute fabric and all your hard work!

I'm going to start this pattern soon. From what I can tell on the pattern envelope, it looks as though the straps are angled rather than sitting square on the shoulders. I may change the yoke slightly. Thanks for the heads up on the bindings!
