As a retired math teacher there are 4 types of sleeves (long, short with cuff, short without cuff, and sleeveless). And then there are 2 types of fabric which can be sheer or not sheer since the directions handle both situation. So 4x2=8. However you could also consider buttons since you could use all 6 buttons or avoid the top button and use only 5 buttons. That is another situation. So maybe I am throwing in a wrench and saying 4x2x2 = 16 different looks. I am not sure which one of the 2's they are using to get 8. You sewed a very nice blouse that can be used for many occassions.
