What a project and it came out beautiful. Your purchased binding looks so good. I made a bag from a Taylor Made Designs pattern book (not a backpack) and simply hated the instructions, which I had to re-write, as I recall. I don't blame you for serging the inside seams -- When I bound them, it was a major pain and involved the dreaded hand sewing. You are very ambitious, and your bag is beautiful.

Great bag and great review, too. I have made several Tailormade garment patterns over the years. I had the opportunity to hear Cindy (who owns/designs Taylormade patterns) in Wisconsin years ago. She talked about how she made everything and then had her teenage daughter 'test' it out! I figured if her stuff could withstand a teenager . . .LOL! I know what you mean that it could be cheaper to just go buy a packback, but yours is so lovely and so well done too. I bet everyone will be asking you where you bought it!
