Wow, that's a great fabric and nicely suitable for that pattern. Unfortunately, from my vantage point, the gathering in the sleeve isn't as noticeable. I think the fabric takes over. Perhaps in a plain fabric the gathering would really stand out. As much as I hate to say it (because I tend to buy Vogue and McCalls), but Simplicity has come through for me many times with a perfectly fitting and easily constructed garment. I've got a couple I use quite frequently, too. ;) Nice dress!
