I have this dress in my stash and hope to have the time to attempt it soon. Thanks for the tips, esp about raising the neckline. It's always good to know these things going in.

I made this dress in wool crepe, which has a little bit of stretch. I found it fitted quite well, so maybe you had bad luck with the fabric. Congratulations on finishing it though, it took me many, many months of work to finish it (and with the help of a tutor). You should be proud of it, even though I know you said you would like a few things different.

I think you look fantastic in it! thank you for your very factual review, I am in the process of ordering it on voguepatterns.com. I am had some reservations about the neckline and will redraw it on the pattern.
