sew1moremom said... Thank you for this review. Your dress turned out lovely. I am in the middle of sewing the lining on this dress and have not made a lined dress before. I want to do the view with the big sleeves. My fabric is an inexpensive sheer floral print. Probably polyester. The instructions say to start by sewing the shoulder seams so I am confused about attaching and turning the lining. 4/4/11 11:41 AM

Sophia.Sews said... sew1moremom, this is a "normal" way of sewing a lined dress. The fashion fabric and lining are made separately up to a point and then sewn together beginning with the neck edge. If this is your first time sewing a lining, when you get to instruction 13 go here: http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/review/readreview.pl?ID=1618. The instructions are good for this tip, but also click on the little camera icon to bring you to a picture tutorial. Good luck! 4/7/11 9:39 PM
