Type:Tops
Fabric:Linen Blend  [See other projects in this fabric]
Pattern Description: Loose-fitting, pullover top has neckline variations, extended shoulders, shoulder pads, back neck slit, button/loop closing and cap, above elbow or long sleeves. Narrow hem.

Pattern Sizing: 8, 10, 12 - I used size 8.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Not really due to my modifications and fabric choice.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes. This is a very simple shell so the sewing is pretty straight forward.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? A good basic shell top that can be made for various seasons.

Fabric Used: Linen/Polyester/Rayon blend in a chartruese colour purchased from Kerryn's Fabric World in Queensland.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:

* Round shoulder
* Added bust darts
* Added fitting darts to both back and front
* Made the neckline larger so it could slip over my head, eliminating the back neck slit
* Adding an invisible zip to the left hand side seam for ease of getting the top on and off.

Back View

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will sew it again, in fact this is the third version I have made in the last couple of years, and I will make it again now that I have it fitting like I want it to.

Long Sleeve version

3/4 Sleeve version

I can only recommend it to others if they like a very loose fitting top, or are prepapred to make the fitting modifications I have made.

Conclusion: With the modifications I have made, this top has turned into a TNT fitted shell top that works well alone in summer and can be worn underneath cardigans and jackets as the weather cools.

Thanks for the info about the necklace- you still get credit since you put everything together. I also like how you are wearing this with brown-I saved the photo so I would remember how well it all worked together-nice set you made!

Thank you ladies for the lovely compliments. Unfortuantely I can't take credit for the necklace, it is from a shop called Diva here in Australia, not sure if they are elsewhere.

My favorite color! This looks so comfortable, but at the same time dressy enough for most occasions. Definitely a TNT for you!

You make this pattern very fashionable. I love all the versions, but especially like this chartreuse shell withthe cool fiber necklace. Did you make the necklace also?
