It's a bummer to work hard and not be happy with the results (been there on more than one occasion) so I hope these observations will help on your next one ... on the overall I think you need a clear color such as blue, red, jade (not necessarily bright) rather than a tweed. IMHO tweeds look best on people with dramatic features or coloring ... I like tweed but my coloring can't pull it off very well either. I also think that while your jacket is beautifully made, you would benefit by making the shoulders a bit narrower for sure and possibly fit the upper chest a little closer to your body shape. If you look at the original jackets from Chanel you will notice that they were quite fitted. Maybe consider turning the front neckline into a gentle V front, I think the V would really suit you. Always trust your instincts, if you don't feel good in the jacket give it to someone who will love it and move on to something that makes you want to strut your stuff ... we've paid our dues, we don't have to wear anything we don't want no matter how pretty the garment looks on the hanger ... that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :D 4/29/11 1:44 AM

It is a bit too large for you in the shoulder area - Channel jackets are designed to fit like a cardigan - close but comfy if that makes sense. As far as color I agree with the others - I wonder if you wear it over a brighter color turtle neck top would that brighten it up? I think your work on this is superb and like others I hope you will rethink this and wear it often - it is lovely. On one of mine made from this I ended up folding back the front to make a V as unfortunately the color simply was not right for me and that made it far more wearable 4/29/11 10:34 AM

Clear, true colors look best on me, not muted or fall colors. I was surprised that you picked up on that from the pictures! I must remember that just because I like the color/fabric, doesn't mean it will look good on me. Also, comfortable doesn't always translate to well-fitting. I tried turning the front to form a V, and it looks and feels much better! Thank you! 4/29/11 6:08 PM
