This dress is packed with old school Hollywood Glam! Get a black and white dreamy photo of your daughter in it for posterity. Starlettes used dress tape too, they just must have! How else could anyone stay in a dress with this cut!? It looks great for such a special occasion!

What did you use instead of the oil filled dress inserts? Or Did you opt for 'petals' on the person instead?

What a very pretty dress on a very pretty young lady! I am so glad the bra cup mishap didn't ruin this lovely dress. I am sure this will be a dress that she always remembers ... what a great mom to sew it for her!

I love this dress pattern and have made it for myself many years ago - that's when I discovered dress tape too! Glad the oil from the gel did not ruin the dress

Thanks, everyone! Norsecross- she did use the "petals". Funny that they cost $15, which is almost the whole cost of the dress! But, they are reusable, so hopefully she'll have formals to wear in college that she can get some more use out of them.
