I discovered using wonder tape for sewing on zippers & I won't even start the process now without a good supply on hand. Pocket placement, collars, cuffs & miters -- it all goes so much easier & better! Thanks for this review, this is the style I *live* in! 8/24/04 0:07 AM

Congratulations on getting the zipper done so easily, I really will have to go back and have another go! When you use fusible hem tape, what happens to it after you have sewn in the zip, how do you remove it? 8/24/04 1:46 AM

Sewsue, fusible tape is one of those inexpensive little treasures that makes a world of difference when you are trying to sew zippers, hems, and anything that drags down or won't hold pins well. As far as I know once the tape is fused it is there forever. There is probably a tape available somewhere that disolves in water, but I haven't found it. The only thing you really need to remember when you use fusible tape is that it will gum up your needle very quickly. (This leads to skipped stitches and broken top threads...) Most people use a teflon spray, I usually spray cooking spray on a paper towel and rub it along the needle. Either way, it is much easier than changing your needle every inch or two. 8/24/04 6:21 AM
