Nice save on the black border at the hem--it looks intentional and adds a nice touch to the dress.

I would never have guessed that the black border wasn't intended! Looks very authentic, and also looks like a lot of effort went in to make it.

love the hem, and it is more period to use this trim since during the war clothes were re-used and passed down. different trim could make a 'new' dress for the next season or a 'new' dress after growing taller. Lovely dress!
