Your suit looks fantastic! I made my first suit many years ago with a Stretch and Sew pattern. I still have it in my stash along with this pattern. Like you said, the instructions are the best!

Nice review! I will have to watch for this pattern. One of my favorite kids' swimsuit patterns is a stretch and sew pattern. I read through your comments on your blog. Don't worry about washing your suit in the washer. I've been sewing my kids' suits for about five years now. The biggest factor is wearing them out seems to be the chlorine use. I do always hang to dry though rather than using the dryer.

I've been looking for a swimsuit pattern and haven't found one this cute. I love your suit. It has the perfect mix of coverage and style. Are these patterns still available? I haven't seen them in years.

Thanks for the great review, I made this suit for my mom while on vacation about 15 yrs ago - it whipped up super fast and was very elegant. Pretty adaptable to a variety of figures, too. I like the good tush coverage and leg height options in Stretch and Sew and some Kwik Sew patterns.

Thanks everyone! MNBarb, the pattern isn't available from Stretch & Sew anymore. I found my copy on Etsy, but you should keep your eye out on eBay too.

I have this pattern, just haven't made it up. Like Diane s, the first suit I ever made was S&S, many years ago. I love S&S patterns, including the leg options and low back option for their swim suits.

super cute and what a price! Was there any lining at all in this suit?

Mendospot, there's a right front and a left front piece which makes the whole front double layered. There's also a bandeau bra made of lining material and elastic.

How is the tie attached? Is it permanently tied for decoration? Do you think adding a tie to Kwik Sew 3064 View A would end up looking similar to yours? Sorry for all the questions! Your suit is just beautiful and VERY expensive looking!!
