Free pattern + $2.00 cloth + super finishing + it looks great on you... Holy macarel!! I would say it's like all the divine sewing spirits came en masse to bestow their blessings on this project - but I know better that it takes MAD SEWING SKILLS!! Those stripes show off the ruching to an intresting effect. An edgy but summery look! The stripes show off the ruching really well and the light blue gives the top a pretty, yet edgy summery look. It would have a totally different feel in black.

Good job. I downloaded this dress a while ago but have not had the mojo to print, tape, cut AND cut again. So it's been sitting. I like how your top turned out and I may just start taking it day by day. I like the unique shape too and your stripes does show that off really well.
