If this is your second pattern project, you are definitely a natural!! Really appreciate your modifications with closing tabs and magnetic snaps as velcro closing would be a reason for me not to make this bag. Happily, and thanks to your review, I am eager to try this pattern!

What a pretty bag! Are you sure you are a beginner??? Lovely fabric and you were creative with this too, adding a place for a cell phone and card. I impressed. Adding the pattern to my wishlist.

Eli- I bought the fabric at Sew What's New in Islip, NY, but have seen it in other places. Here's a link to Alexander Henry Fabrics. You should be able to find a local supplier there. Sew Tabby - I LOVE your skirt. Your Amy Butler review was very helpful to me when putting this bag together. Thanks!

Your bag is absolutely lovely! I made a skirt with that fabric and wear it all the time. I also had the same problem with the bag collapsing--I've been meaning to try it again using Timtex as a stabilizer in the bottom. My temporary solution was to put a piece of balsa wood in the bottom of the bag. It still can't handle anything heavy, like wallet or keys, but works fine for some cash, an ID, and favorite lipstick :) GREAT job and great first review!

Love the fabric also! I just made the Downtown Purse and had similar issues. I used a cotton duck lining in addition to all the materials she calls for. This helped give the bag a little more structure, but did not totally eliminate the "collapse factor".

Gorgeous! If I have the same "collapsing problem" I interface twice the bottom and about 7 cm from the bottom up with craft interfacing (very firm one). Where did you buy the fabric from? Sorry for being so curious but it is so lovely and so Pucci-inspired...

Your bag is gorgeous! I have been looking at this pattern for awhile now, and now I think I have to make it. Thanks!

I can't believe this is only your second attempt at a pattern. You show great attention to the details that make the finished garment look professional. I think you have discovered a natural talent. I love the bag. I just "discovered" this line of patterns through another review and think they are adorable. Your project proves my opinion.

Looks beautiful - I would never have guessed it was the 2nd thing you had made from a pattern. I'm impressed with your modifications.
