Tessa, Thank you for the review. I purchased the KS pattern based on your Jalie review because I wanted to use power dry. My dh has requested the same changes (no cuffs or front opening) so the review is very helpful. Maybe I'll get started on these....

Tessa, Thanks for this timely review! I have the pattern and some powerdry all ready to cut and sew. I'm glad you explained the difference between this pattern and the Jalie.

I also appreciate your insights on the KS (which I have) & Jalie pattern (waiting by the mailbox for it). I will have to play with the serger and ask DH how he'd like the bottom hem/cuff done - sometimes they can rub inside of a ski boot if there is bulk. Thanks! great review!

Thanks for the nice comments. Most people find it strange, but I think customizing underwear so it's really comfortable is one of the best things about sewing! To get the bottom of the leg just right, you can cut it a bit wider and longer than you think he needs, then adjust on him and mark the changes on the pattern. I think you could just leave the edge raw on power dry for the least bulk, but I have an aversion to unfinished edges. I should warn you, if you start making long underwear for a man he'll want more...
