Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?I got confused on one part of the instructions for the fly. It took awhile, but I figured it out. I had to rip some stitches, but the problem was fixed. The instructions must have been pretty explicit because this was my first time sewing a fly, and it turned out perfect.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I don't care for the waistband- it is only one piece that must be folded over. Pressing would be easier if it were two pieces. It could have been a cutting mistake on my part, but the waistband wasn't long enough. I fixed it by cutting a three inch strip from the scraps and adding it on.
Fabric Used:bottomweight cotton from Joann Fabrics
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Lengthened pant legs by two inches; sewed more space in the belt loops to accomodate a wider belt; made side pockets smaller.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will sew it again, but I'm going to try to modify it so that the waistband is two separate pieces instead of just one that you have to fold over. It would also be better if the button were on the waistband, not behind the fly.
Conclusion:
My husband likes them; they look very good on him.
UPDATE:
I made the shirt, view b. It turned out very nice. The only part of the directions that confused me were the collar. Here is the youtube video that helped me: Click Here
