My DH enabled me to buy $30/yd leotard fabric for my two DDs recently - it was at 60% off, but still! Thanks for the review - very cute. I made this pattern for my neice many years ago and it fit decently on her, but yes, not as nice as KS or S&S.

Good save, cutting the suit in half. Thanks for the complete review.

What a saga! Are you going to try to re-make the one-piece suit in the pricey fabric, lengthening the body? Or will you turn the pattern into a tankini, lengthening the top to cover the panties, to achieve the one-piece look? I'll stay tuned for the next exciting episode! BTW, I think a sewing machine works better than a serger for swim suits, esp children's--the spaces and seam tolerances are so small and you get more precision with a sm. Also, you can rip out and start over, though it's not fun! (I've been there!)
