I think it looks very good and the fit looks good in spite of the problem you describe. Are you using the high bust measurement as opposed to the full bust? Also, since I'm narrow shouldered, I almost always have to fold out some width in the bodice. That is, I fold out an area along the center front line. I'm not sure for you, but for me it is a necessity. Good luck with future efforts getting the fit you are after!
