I adore what you did with the facing, and can only suggest that you try a C-cup next time, which might improve the fit for you.

I'm sorry the fit isn't as good as you'd like-the shirt itself really looks great and is cute on you! I like the changes you made too. Hope you are able to make it work if you try again (I agree about the C-cup size, fwiw).

I am in the middle of making this tunic myself and your review was very helpful to me. I love what you did by sewing the facing to the outside! Might try that myself next time.
