this is really cute. a young lady appeared in my sewing class asking for help on how to add a layer to a skirt similar to this that she had purchased in the Ukraine because the fabric was so sheer. they had also embellished it with rhinestones.

Very cute. Reminds me of my youth when we would cut off jeans and add material to make a skirt!

I must say, this is a successful project! This brings back memories of the many skirts I made like this in the 80's~ they were a hit then,and I can see a great comeback now! :)
