Hey I am wearing my Mandarin shirt as I type this and I love it(my husband said it was his favorite of what I have made lately). The front ended up a bit short, but I though it was because I cheated and interfaced the self facing. I'll make the front of it longer next time, I also made long sleeves with a split cuff.

I bought this pattern and also find your review helpful. From the pattern envelope picture, I thought I might even need to make a bust adjustment which isn't something I normally need to do.
