I like this. You say you've used a facing, but it does like you also did a special kind of stitching at the neckline? I would have guessed you did a neck binding and then double stitched, one needle in the ditch, and one running parallel to it. Nice color, too.

Nice variation on the twist top, and completely avoids the plunging neckline.

great idea to do it as a top..I do like the fact that it isn't a plunging neckline like most..
