It does look nice, sorry about the weirdly disappearing fabric. Stuff like that's always happening to me so I don't think too much about it, just get annoyed. Trying to think of the kind of hem where the thread is very close together, the thing the serger does, maybe a rolled hem? All that thread should weight it down some and not require much fabric to hang on to. Just a thought. Will make a cute top, too.

It's a very attractive dress with lovely fabric..very odd about the hem lengths. It does look like it would make a cute top..and a skirt for a DGD...

Looks like a very pretty dress... sorry the length disappeared & hope you get to wear it as a top. I suppose if you have any extra of this fabric, it would look good as a 2-piece dress too (with a plain skirt and the top possibly shortened somewhat). Hope any fabric you use the next time will behave better.

Would it be possible to buy a contrasting fabric and sew a band of it along the bottom to make it longer? I am currently doing that to a top I am working on. It might save the dress, instead of making it into a top. It's really pretty as a dress!
